Kristen Burton - Owner and Pet Sitter
Kristen was born and raised in Moscow, PA. After spending 8 years in the suburbs of
Chicago, with an executive career and a commute to match, she and her husband
made the move back to PA in June of 2006 to be closer to family, to de-stress, and to
live in one of the most beautiful areas in the country - the Poconos.
After using professional pet sitters for years in Illinois, Kristen saw a need for insured,
trained professional pet sitters in this area, and Your Best Friend Pet Sitting was
created.
Kristen strongly believes that a good pet sitter is insured, reliable, ethical, and
communicative. She is an active member of the National Association of Professional
Pet Sitters, and is the chair of their Presents 4 Pets Committee. She also participates
in Professional United Pet Sitters, sharing her experience with (and learning from) pet
sitters around the world.
Kristen and her husband Matt live with a Basenji / Sheltie puppy, a little mutt, 2 cats,
and a tarantula.
